AirSep completely changed the battery system—instead of internal and external batteries, the FreeStyle 3 now operates only with an external battery. This simplifies usability: you only have one kind of battery, no extra chargers needed, and the battery connects directly into the concentrator. Changing batteries on the go is extremely easy with the push of a button. The carrying case has a special side pocket for an extra battery. Battery life expectations: Setting 1 (up to 6.5 hrs), Setting 2 (up to 3.5 hrs), Setting 3 (up to 3.0 hrs).

The FreeStyle 3 control panel is equipped with 4 push buttons—one for each flow rate and one to check remaining battery life. Simply push your desired flow rate to turn it on and begin receiving oxygen. The LED indication system shows remaining battery life with 4 lights (0-25%, 26-50%, 51-75%, 76-100%). Maintenance is minimal: wash or replace the filter every 1-2 weeks (air dry, inspect for tears), and wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. The control panel is accessible even when the unit is in the carrying case.
