This is another edition of our portable oxygen concentrator comparisons. We strive to educate you on every machine that you are considering, this way you can feel 100% comfortable and confident in the purchase you make.

Today we will be comparing one of the longest produced concentrators on the market, the Respironics SimplyGo with one of the most customizable and industry leading concentrators, the SeQual eQuinox.

Size Comparison

Be sure to choose a portable oxygen concentrator that you will be able to support in a wide array of activities all throughout the day, while keeping you properly saturated.

Respironics_SimplyGoRespironics SimplyGo: Stop lugging around cumbersome oxygen tanks that restrict you from living life freely! The SimplyGo delivers medical grade oxygen in a device that weighs 10 lbs, and that is with a battery attached. Not only will you be able to take the SimplyGo wherever you go, but it will also be able to fit in the tightest of spaces due to its lack of dimensions which are 11.5" H x 10" W 6" D. Transporting the SimplyGo is nothing but simplified due to the inclusion of a highly functional wheeled traveling cart.

SeQual eQuinox: Enjoy the dependability of the SeQual eQuinox while never being weighed down, amassing a total weight of 14 pounds with the support of a traveling cart this highly functional portable concentrator will go where you need it without any problems. Not to mention the dimensions of 13.6" H x 10.6" W x 7.4" D, which also help bolster the eQuinox's full travel ability. When you add both of those aspects with the included wheeled traveling cart, you will be out and about more than you ever were before!

When it comes to size comparison the Respironics SimplyGo is an overall lighter and smaller machine than the SeQual eQuinox, but if you aren't aware of the full features of both machines then make sure to not base your decision strictly off of the size of the machine.

Flow Settings

When shopping for a portable oxygen concentrator, make sure that it produces a flow rate that is consistent with your oxygen prescription from your doctor. For you safety never adjust your flow rate without before clearing it with your doctor.

Respironics SimplyGo: The SimplyGo offers a wide array of flow options in both pulse and continuous flow, this will come in handy for patients that use both pulse and continuous depending on the activity being done. When pulse setting is selected flow settings 1 - 6 are available, while continuous flow offers settings ranging from 1 - 2 LPM. You can even enjoy the benefits of the SimplyGo at night while sleeping if required, this is because of the sleep mode technology available with the pulse flow.

SeQual eQuinox: This technologically advanced portable oxygen concentrator, which is also the newest, offers the capability to operate in both pulse and continuous flow modes in the click of a button.eQuinox_cart_2_2_tiny When pulse mode is selected the eQuinox offers settings of 1 - 9 (16 - 192 mL) with three adjustable pulse dose flow sensitivity settings, while continuous offers settings of 0.5 - 3 LPM escalating in 0.5 liter increments to assure a precise oxygen delivery. When changing flow settings a voice comformation will follow, this way you will know for sure you are always on your required flow setting without any confusion. Thanks to autoSAT technology, which adjusts to ever changing breath rates, the eQuinox has the ability to be used as a nighttime oxygen concentrator.

The eQuinox wins in this section as it offers numerous more flow options in both pulse and continuous flow, while allowing you numerous customization options in the sense of escalating flow rates in 0.5 liter increments, and providing you with the comfort of always knowing what flow rate you have selected with its verbal conformation.

Battery Life

Imagine a typical day in your life, think of how long you are out away from a power source and pick a portable oxygen concentrator that will produce a battery life that excels that time period.

Respironics SimplyGo: Regain the freedom to go where you want, when you want with the durable battery of the Respironics SimplyGo. When a pulse setting of 2 is being used the SimplyGo will keep you saturated for up to 3.5 hours, while a continuous flow setting of 2 LPM will operate for up to .7 hours. When you order the SimplyGo from us we include 2 batteries, that way you can have one charging and one in the unit simultaneously. What about on the go charging? Charge and power your SimplyGo portable concentrator through the DC power supply, which simply plugs into the cigarette lighter outlet in most cars, trucks, SUV's, R.V.'s, and even boats!

SeQual eQuinox: Enjoy pristine supplemental oxygen all throughout your day, which is made possible by the 12 and 24 cell battery options available for the SeQual eQuinox. As said before this is the customizable option for portable oxygen concentrators, this is because you can choose to have the lightest possible package with the 12 cell or have an extended operational period with a little extra weight with the 24 cell battery. When using the 12 cell on a pulse flow setting of 2 supplemental oxygen will be delivered for up to 2.7 hours, while a continuous setting of 2 will produce oxygen for up to 1.2 hours. When opting to use the 24 cell battery on a pulse setting of 2 you will get up to 5.9 hours of operation, but on a continuous flow of 2 LPM you will receive up to 2.75 hours of oxygen delivery.

As for charging on the go the eQuinox will operate off of the DC power supply, when using this all pulse flow settings will operate while charging. If using continuous on the DC supply, the concentrator will work on all settings but only charges up to 2 LPM.

The SimplyGo has a longer battery life on a pulse setting of 1 and 2 than the eQuinox does on a 12 cell battery, but if you require a higher flow rate or use continuous settings then the eQuinox excels past the SimplyGo with both the 12 and 24 cell batteries.

Compatibility

Both the Respironics SimplyGo and the SeQual eQuinox are compatible with CPAP and BiPAP machines, this is a phenomenal added feature as many supplemental oxygen patients also suffer from sleep apnea.
